Event Details

The link between food and mood is much talked about. But how does food affect you?  This workshop will introduce you to Felt Sense, its applications and how it may be affected by food.

With mixture of individual reflection, group feedback and interactive exercises, using mind and body, you will be able to.
• Assess your current health
• Explain effects of certain foods on the body
• Discover substitutes for mood affecting foods
• Experience Felt Sense
• Describe ways that Felt Sense may be useful
• Decide the best way forward for you

Come prepared to move your body, so comfortable clothing and flat shoes would be helpful, and bring a playful spirit (hopefully yours, rather than someone else’s).

Guest Speaker

Jane Brown has been an HR professional for over 20 years, advising and developing managers and their teams. She saw how many of their difficulties stemmed from managers’ lack of understanding and confidence in how to handle emotions - their own and other people’s. This mirrored her own difficulty in managing her emotions, so now she teaches what she has learned over 26 years of exploration into handling emotions. The core of her work centres on listening to the body, so that it is easier to listen to the feelings and choose them, rather than be directed by them. She now chooses to be happy and delights in helping others to be that way too!

Event timing

Delegates should arrive at 09:30 for coffee and networking.  The event will run from 10:00 to 12:30, after that attendees are welcome to stay on and network in the Becketts Farm cafe where they can buy lunch if required.

Professional photography and video production may be taking place at the event, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD. Please note that by attending the event, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any CIPD promotional materials.
