Running your own business’ clinic
Please note that this event will start with refreshments and an opportunity to network at 18.00, with the formal part of the meeting starting at 18.30.
We will be sharing ideas and what we have learnt about “Running your own business”. This could be anything from understanding your market and determining what product or service that you are offering, through developing a business strategy or plan to making key decisions about limited company, sole partnership or VAT registration. Finding a business name and developing a brand and then there are all the financial factors – how do you manage cash flow or invoicing? Also, what about working with others (partners, associates), governance or client management. If you have something to share about any of these then please contact me before hand and let me know what ideas or learning you can offer the group. email@example.com
The forum was established in 2014 to support those members who are self employed, consultants, interims, small business owners, associates, trainers or coaches. The group enables those who work independently to build a supportive network, create a sounding board to share ideas, knowledge and experiences and, in somemcases, to find new ways to collaborate. It also provides a great opportunity to network and to access continuing professional development. If you are an independent consultant and you would like to meet up with others who face similar challenges, do get involved with this forum which is led for us by Derek Osborn and Charlotte Alfrey.
This event is free of charge for CIPD members, although booking is essential. There is a charge of £25 for non-members . (please note that refunds will not be issued less than 10 days prior to this event).
Professional photography and video production may be taking place at the event, and these images may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD. Please note that by attending the event, you are giving your consent for your image to be used on any CIPD promotional materials.

Here at Sussex Branch we have over 3750 members and we cover both East and West Sussex. We are currently the 8th largest branch in the country out of 52 branches. Our commitment to you as a Sussex Branch member is to be here for you throughout your professional journey:
