What is accessibility like?

The tour is mostly on the ground floor, with access to the mezzanine via a flight of 10 steps. In the event of a fire alarm, all attendees must be able to walk down stairs.

Are bags permitted on the tour?

Only small handbag-sized bags are permitted due to the presence of fragile heritage fixtures and surfaces. All bags will be subject to inspection by our Security Team.

What is the nearest public transport?

The closest station is James Street (Merseyrail). Trains from the Wirral, Chester, and Liverpool Lime Street all stop there. It’s a 0.3-mile, mostly flat walk to the entrance on Water Street.

Dogs are not permitted, except for registered assistance dogs supporting individuals with visual impairment difficulties.

No refreshments will be available during the tour. You may wish to visit nearby cafés before or after your visit.
