As a member of the Board of Abhinaya Dance Academy, I cordially invite you and your family to an Indian Burns Night in January. This is a multicultural event to celebrate the life and work of the Scotland’s national Bard, Robert Burns and of the great Indian poet, philosopher and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Rabindranath Tagore.
While he studied in London, Tagore became acquainted with the songs and poetry of Robert Burns. His well – known song ‘Purano Shei diner kotha’ (memories of the good old days) was an Indian response to Burns’ famous Auld Lang Syne.
An entertaining programme has been arranged with Scottish dancing, Indian fusion Dance, poetry, song and delicious food and ceilidh fun!
Do come along with your family and be part of this colourful occasion. Together we can make this event a successful one and an evening to remember.
