INTRODUCTION
Six classes from 5.30 - 8.30 pm on Tuesday evenings in Inverness College UHI
Tuesday evenings 29 January; 5, 12, 19, 26 February; 5 March 2019
This course will provide participants with the techniques, skills and knowledge of Indian cookery.
CLASS GROUP
Suitable for those who would like learn more about Indian cookery and the balance of spice in all forms of cookery.
COURSE CONTENT
- Chicken/Haggis Pakora/Veg pakora, tomato chutney
- Lamb Rogan josh
- Naan bread
- Vegetable samosa/Coriander and mint chutney
- Chicken bhuna/Zeera pulao
- Butternut squash, chick pea and spinach curry
- Onion Bhajis
- Chicken Biryani, cucumber mint raita
- Poppadum
- Paneer tikka masala/Paratha
- Achaari Ghost
- Bombay aloo
- Butter chicken/Chapati
- Saag aloo
- Rice kheer
- Mixed vegetable Balti
- Dal Tadka
- Malayali prawn/fish curry/coconut rice
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Apron
- Containers to "take away" the product produced during the class.
ON COMPLETION
Students will have an understanding of the diverse Indian cookery techniques and recipes, they will also receive a College Certificate.
