Event details:

You will be taken to a local store that carries a large array of spices and vegetables from the Indian subcontinent where you will be introduced to a number of spices used in traditional Indian cuisine. You will have the chance to purchase these at very reasonable prices.

The morning will end in Chalfont st Giles where you will get the opportunity to taste a wholesome Indian meal consisting of all the spices and vegetables that you learnt about.

About the day:

The course begins with a brief shopping trip to look at ingredients we will use during the day.

Meeting point is the bus stop outside the Gerrard's Cross, Tesco Car park.

We will move on to the Spice for life residence in Chalfont St Giles.

Then we will create a full Indian feast in this unique hands on course, where you will learn how to use ingredients and techniques to cook up delicious versions of favourite restaurant style curries.

We will cook 3 dishes that we sit down to eat at the end of the session. These include Pulao rice with cumin, Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken), and Paneer Jalfrezi (Indian cheese and pepper curry).

We will learn how to use spices for health and taste, how to create a balance of flavours and how to put together a meal that is delicious, easy to make and perfect for the whole family.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

The event is for over 18 year olds.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Meeting outside Tesco Gerrards cross, walking distance from Gerrards cross station.

Parking at Tesco is is free for the first two hours. The Spice for life Kitchen is a 7 minute drive away from the Tesco.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Everything you need for the class will be provided.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No, as we will be taking into account any food allergies or intolerances when we run the course.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policy

If you cancel over 4 weeks before the start of the course you can choose an alternative date or course of an equivalent value.

If you cancel within 4 weeks of the course, no transfers are permitted and you will forfeit your place.
