An Evening with Indie Social Media Guru Jo Booth
Social Media Makes Sense is holding a Masterclass & Networking session for Yorkshire and NE Indies on effective Social Media for TV.
Presenter, Jo Booth, is well-known throughout the industry as one of the UK’s leading authorities on SM for TV. Her recent workshops at BBC Leeds’ Fierce Women event in Leeds were full to capacity.
She and her company manage the social media campaigns for many of Britain’s most successful and popular programmes Poldark, Victoria, Line of Duty, Endeavour, Curfew, Sunny Bunnies, Good Karma Hospital, Unforgotten are just a few household names they promote.
She is a freelance SM trainer for the BBC. Her expertise is also sought by ITV GE, children’s programmes Wissper & Sunny Bunnies, RTS (NW & London) and the Indie Club.
This is a unique opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from Jo, who says;
“Social campaigns for drama and other formats require differently nuanced approaches to audience engagement, asset creation and frequency of posting. When we work on programmes, we tailor each strategy to the core fan bases, so every campaign needs to be very different.
Let’s face, it what works for Line of Duty isn’t going to gel with the audience for Help The Animals!
Plus nowadays Commissioners are placing more emphasis on the quality of the second screen campaigns when re-commissioning.”
This event is designed to keep Northern Indies abreast of the latest developments and techniques for getting the most out of Social Media platforms, especially important with Channel 4’s imminent arrival!
Because of demand, this event is limited Indies and their staff.
