About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

The Indo-Pacific Roundtable has been the flagship event of our Indo-Pacific Strand since 2021, at the Centre for Geopolitics, University of Cambridge. It has become the largest conference of its kind in Europe. The two-day event brings together academics, think tankers, and policy practitioners for focused discussions on a blend of economic and security issues, both within and across the panoply of states that make up this vast region spanning more than half the world.

8:45am – 9:00am – Registration and refreshments

9:00 – 9:35 – Keynote speech – John Nilsson-Wright

9:35 – 11:05 – Panel 5 | Subject: ‘Political economy in the Indo-Pacific’

Alarmingly, over the past 20 years, analysis of many of the political economy of the world’s largest and most dynamic countries has fallen off the front page. This panel puts political economy front and centre to understand states and markets in the Indo-Pacific.

This is one of nine public panels. To view all other panels for this event, see Events – Centre for Geopolitics
