Join us for an introduction to the Get into Go North East Sector-Based Work Academy Programme – a 5-day course designed to help you gain the skills and knowledge needed to begin a career as a bus driver.
What to expect at the induction session:
- Hear directly from Go North East about the bus driver role, what the job involves, and the career opportunities available.
- Meet the North Tyneside Council Employment & Skills team, who will guide you through the 5-day programme.
- Learn what support is available, what qualifications you’ll gain, and details of the site visit to the North Shields depot.
- Ask questions, find out if this is the right fit for you, and understand the next steps if you decide to take part.
No previous qualifications are required, but you must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence, and
- Have at least 6 months’ experience of driving a vehicle.
The training will begin on Monday 8th September 2025.
