King's College Hospital Induction of Labour Workshop

This is a standalone virtual workshop for women booked to give birth at King's College Hospital Denmark Hill and the Princess Royal University Hospital.

Come to our Induction of Labour Workshop to find out more about -

  • Why are pregnancies induced?
  • What happens during induction of labour?
  • How does outpatient induction of labour work?
  • Are there natural methods of bringing on labour?
  • What are my choices if I am offered Induction?

We welcome you at any stage in your pregnancy to find out more about the options available to you, recommendations for care and planning your birth.

Partners and birth partners are also welcome.

  • The workshop is designed to be interactive and you will be welcome to ask questions
  • For the registration we will ask for some background information from you for auditing purposes
  • Once registered for the workshop the Meeting ID link will be available on the event page
  • If the event is sold out, there is an automatic waiting list that will notify you if a ticket becomes available

These online workshops are a free resources for service users booked with King's College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) and are hosted by midwives, doctors, specialists and maternity support workers. In your first trimester, join the 'Welcome to King's' workshop to hear more about our services. Later in your pregnancy, join the Labour and Birth workshops, Baby Basics and Infant Feeding. For those with more specialist needs, we have Induction of Labour, Birth After Caesarean (if you've had a previous CS), Twins and Multiples, Birth With Confidence and more. If you are looking for peer support consider Black and Minority Ethnic Group or our Spanish language workshop.
