Where is the event taking place?

The event will be taking place at the Barbican Centre in London. Please use the main entrance on Silk Street. Paper signage will direct you to the event registration on Conservatory Level 4.

Who will be attending this event?

The participants of all four Industry Bridge Programmes are invited to attend the Showcase Day.

A delegate list will be distributed a few days prior to the event taking place, the list will only feature those who opted into being on the list.

Question 3

Will food be served during the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, food will be served during the event. Please let us know of your dietary requirements in your registration before the 11th of March 2024, which is our deadline for ordering catering. We will do our utmost to accommodate requests made.

Question 4

Will there be photographers/videographers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there will be photographers/videographers at the event. If you do not wish to be included in any photos or footage please let a member of CodeBase/Barclays Eagle Labs staff know, or the photographer/videographer directly.

Do I need to sign-up everyone on my team who wants to attend?

Yes, all those wanting to attend need to individually register via the Eventbrite registration link.

I have applied to present my startup at The Showcase Day, should I still register?

Yes, please register here to ensure we have gathered all important information including your dietary requirements.

I have registered to attend but can no longer make it, should I cancel my ticket?

Please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite, or by contacting a member of the team, to support us with managing event capacity. Thanks.

Is there blue badge parking?

Accepted Answer

If you are an occasional visitor to the Centre, please take your blue badge to one of our reception desks or Barbican Shop on the day of your visit in order to receive a complimentary car park voucher. You do not need to display your blue badge in your vehicle.

Are there accessible toilets?

Accepted Answer

There is an accessible toilet on level 4 (the Showcase Day Space), nearest to the auditorium. This has a right-hand transfer. Size 160cm x 132cm. In this small toilet, some wheelchair users may find turning difficult.

Will there be any auditory support

Hearing loops and preferential seating are available in the auditorium, please contact a member of our team if you would like preferential seating reserved for you and/or would like to receive hearing loop guidance.

Will there be any visual support?

We will provide digital copies of the materials. If you would like a printed copy of materials on the day, and/or require large print copies of materials, please contact a member of our team so we can provide you with this in advance.

I will be observing Ramadan, Is there a prayer room available?

We will have a prayer room available. When registering upon arrival on the day, please ask a member of staff to show you the space.

Please note that the Barbican is not a nut-free environment. While nut-free food can be ordered, we can’t guarantee it is prepared in a nut free space

Is the auditorium accessible?

The auditorium has raked seating. However, front row seats, as well as the two wheelchair spots at the front of the auditorium, can be accessed without using the raked seating steps. Please inform a member of staff if you would like to be shown how to access the auditorium without using the stairs.

Perimeter seating will be provided in the refreshments area, please contact a member of our team if you would like us to reserve a seat for you in the refreshments area.

Yes, there will be a staffed cloakroom opposite the registration desk on Level 4.

Can I attend remotely / Is there an option for hybrid attendance?

The only means of attending the Industry Bridge Showcase Day, is live in person. We will not be streaming or recording any of the presentations.

Is this event being recorded?

While we will have a videographer on the day to help us document the event itself, none of the live content will be recorded in a way that will enable virtual attendance/watching the event back.
