Black tie for men typically means a dinner jacket (tuxedo) which traditionally comes in black (although other colours are now available & acceptable). For women, black tie indicates formal wear (typically cocktail dress or floor length gown). Any colour or hem length permitted.

If you choose to drive, leave plenty of time as the traffic in central Manchester is exceptionally heavy due to roadworks. Very limited onsite parking is available at £16 GBP. There is also a NCP carpark on Water Street which has 258 bays. https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/

Will I need to pay for drinks on the night?

Accepted Answer

Complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be served on arrival and at the dinner table. You may purchase additional drinks at the bar in the private reception area outside of the awards dinner and ceremony room. Post-dinner drinks in the hotel's main bar & lounge are not complimentary.

Unfortunately, guests cannot attend virtually. The event is in-person only.

Can I be seated with my friend?

Accepted Answer

We assign guests to tables & not to seats! We don't encourage seating requests & we're unable to guarantee any requests that we receive. When we create the table plans, we do our best to keep finalists from the same nomination together & try to ensure that everyone is seated with someone they know.
