Description

'Good Lord!’ I thought, ‘Here's a ghost at last! And I haven't believed for a moment in ghosts during the last five-and-twenty years.'

Robert Lloyd Parry returns to the Cambridge Museum of Technology with rehearsed readings of ghost stories by two masters of the genre.

E F Benson’s “How Fear Departed the Long Gallery” offers a twist, comic and touching by turns, on the traditional haunted house tale. While H G Wells’s “The Inexperienced Ghost” raises the question of who is the more to be pitied in encounters between the living and the dead.

The readings are held in the atmospheric surroundings of the Main Engine Room, floors are uneven and there is no heating so wrap up well and wear sensible shoes.

Warming drinks will be available to purchase before the performance and during the interval.
