Infant Feeding and Building a Happy Baby
Welcome to your interactive and evidence-based infant feeding workshop, brought to you by the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) Infant Feeding Specialists.
Come along and together we'll explore feeding options with unbiased information and links to reputable external resources that will enrich this exciting journey.
This workshop aims to cater for all, whilst also being responsive to your personal needs; These sessions will always cover:
- Relationship building and bonding with your baby
- The benefits of skin-to-skin contact
- Learning to speak baby- recognising feeding cues
- Constituents of milk
- Positioning and Attachment
- Paced bottle feeding
- How to know when feeding is going well, and when it isn’t
- Antenatal harvesting of colostrum
- Support network within our local area
Birth Partners are encouraged to join, and attendance is recommended from 30 weeks of pregnancy.
This workshop is designed to provide you with the information needed to make a fully informed choice about how you wish to feed your baby when they arrive. King's are dedicated to helping you achieve your feeding goals and you will be fully supported with your chosen method.
Registration
- Your King's hospital number is required upon registering
- Virtual meeting ID will be available via the online event page
The Workshops
- Participants will be asked to kindly mute in large groups
- There will be opportunities to ask questions and time for open discussion
- Camera ON is encouraged to get the most out of the session but not required for attendance
