Event Details

Influencing Change is our popular five day training programme, designed to support you to gain the complete set of tools and skills to successfully campaign.  The programme is spread over three/ five months and is perfect if you want in depth training and support on all of the aspects of campaigning, activism and advocacy. 

On the programme you will learn how to develop a campaign strategy, work effectively with social and other forms of media, influence local and national decision makers and build support for your campaign. You will also get the chance to build a network of other campaigners to collaborate with in the future.

Previous speakers on the programme have come from: the Houses of Parliament, No More Page 3, Forster Communications, New Philanthropy Capital, the BBC, Shelter, The Daily Mail, Friends of the Earth, the Campaign to Save Frien Barnet Library, Trinity Mirror, Haringey Council, Birmingham Council and 38 degrees.

Our work includes;
  • Providing training, coaching and consultancy to help people and organisations develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to campaign effectively.
  • Being a voice for campaigners by advocating for the needs and benefits of campaigning, and protecting the space to campaign.
  • Bringing campaigners together and celebrating success through our networks, events and annual SMK Campaigner Awards.
