Increasingly the working world is a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous place. To cope with the demands of this disrupted world some employers, especially the larger ones, are becoming aware that this is the time to reshape their approach to people management, from appraisal to talent management to reward to the whole employment relationship.
This event will examine how consultants and business partners influencing people management in such environments can challenge the status quo effectively. It will develop the breadth of vision they need to get the debate going, and identify the alternatives and concepts they need in their toolkit to influence organisations to respond with agility and lead effectively.
The first part of the event is a webinar delivered by Lucy Adams of the Disruptive HR Agency.
The webinar will be followed by a group discussion facilitated by Tracy Madgwick of Crafnant Consulting. It will explore the practical implications for the group as influencers in the world of people management, bringing out our different perspectives, experiences and learnings.
Our speaker is Lucy Adams of Disruptive HR. Lucy Adams recently published her first book “HR Disrupted” and is featured in an article in People Management February 2017.
Lucy founded her business The Disruptive HR Agency after having held senior level HR roles in a variety of sectors, most recently as HR Director at the BBC. She grew frustrated with the lack of innovation and fresh thinking in the profession and wanted to find new ways of tackling old problems.
She now runs the Agency to help business leaders and HR functions to do things differently. She provides fresh insights and practical tools to help HR functions and leaders cope with the demands of a volatile world.
