About this Event

If you were unable to visit us for one of the College's Open Events, you're welcome to attend our informal 'Information Evening'. On the evening, you will be invited to attend a talk, view the campus facilities and discover more about our Outstanding College. There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the range of courses on offer at our subject exhibition.

Please ensure when booking that you book a ticket for each member of your party attending (max. 3 tickets per booking).

A Level Philosophy, Ethics and Religion

Join our specialist session to find out about this enlightening and fascinating subject which you will explore a range of beliefs and examine the very nature of existence. Attend this session to find out why this A Level is welcomed by the top universities in the UK, and how under the direction of our inspiring teachers you will explore the very fundamentals of the universe and apply it to your own existence and beliefs. This A Level will challenge you and make you question your views, share your ideas and respect the views of others.

A Level Further Maths

Join this specialist subject session to find out more about this exciting subject and how HNC is one of a handful of providers who offer this option at both AS and A Level. Join us to find out more about how you will develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics and be challenged and extended as a Mathematician. You will find out about our unique syllabus which includes 50% Applied Maths, meaning you will enjoy applying maths to real world scenarios, making it ideal for those thinking of a career in Science, Engineering or Economics, or any career where maths is used to solve problems which affect people in their day-to-day lives.

A Level English

Meet our outstanding team to learn more about how our A Level range can support your future, and decide which of our A Levels (English Language, English Literature or English Combined) is for you! Our A Level English subjects open doors to a range of futures, developing skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, independence and adaptability. Hear from our committed experts who will explain more about what you can expect, and how an English A Level can see you joining the greatest, longest conversation of humanity!

A Level Sciences

Here at HNC we offer an outstanding experience in our Science A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At this specialist workshop session, there will be a chance to learn more about each strand, join our Q&A session and hear from some of our current students who are also our STEM Ambassadors. Join us to gain a flavour of what you can expect at A Level, including a visit to our state of the art labs. You will be able to indicate your chosen specialism on the evening.

MFL: French and Spanish

Languages are becoming an increasingly popular choice – a report from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) identified that the inability to speak a second language was considered a skills gap by many UK employers. French and Spanish were amongst the top three languages employers would want their employees to be able to speak. Here at HNC studying a Languages A Level will see you building on your GCSE studies, and being able to speak your chosen language confidently. Join us to gain a flavour of what to expect, find out about the skills you will gain and find out about our unique offer which includes sessions with a native speaker!

No GCSE studies, no barrier: A Level Media Studies or A Level Film Studies

You do not have to study some subjects at GCSE to access them at A Level! A Level Film Studies and A Level Media Studies are two examples of subjects that you do not have to studied at GCSE. Join us to find out about these engaging and vibrant courses. During this session, you will join one of two information sessions on either Film Studies or Media Studies. Find out about Film Studies and how this subject will stretch and challenge your critical thinking skills, or join the Media Studies session which will see you delving deep into the world of mass media and exploring complex theories such as structuralism, feminism and postmodernism. Our specialist staff will share more about how your current GCSE programme will support entry on to these courses.
