Description

Emma will be available to support you in identifying your knowledge need, finding and appraising information and using it in an ethical and inclusive manner for your professional development, teaching and research areas.

This will include:

  • Looking at the range of possible sources/formats that information could be discovered in

  • Formulating search strategies

  • Applying a range of critical appraisal skills

  • Reflecting on the search process and assessing whether the information need has been met

  • Recording, saving and re-using search strategies and sources used

In addition, specifically in relation to your teaching it will cover:

  • Using library resources in your module teaching'

  • The Reading List - using and developing it

  • The Library Guide (Referencing; Finding and understanding Research Evidence)

  • Developing student information skills
