Information sessions - Draft Gypsy and Traveller Local Plan
Overview
Islington Council is currently consulting on plans to create high-quality, affordable homes for Gypsy and Traveller residents. A number of sites have been identified across the borough, which could provide between 10 and 13 pitches.
We are holding information sessions where you can ask council officers questions and find out more about all the proposed sites.
If you’d like to attend one of the information sessions, please sign up for a 30-minute slot on one of the available dates. Please note you can only attend one of the information sessions if you have signed up.
The consultation is taking place from 3 December 2025 to 1 February 2026. The proposals aim to provide permanent homes for families who already live in Islington, often in social housing, but need accommodation that better suits their way of life. You can find out more about the proposals on the Let’s Talk Islington page. This also includes details on how to respond to the consultation.
