This is a training and support session on the Information Sharing Gateway for members of Greater Manchester's public sector.
The Information Sharing Gateway offers the potential means by which Greater Manchester can define information sharing agreements between organisations in a common way and manage those agreements effectively. It is a key component in GM-Connect's mission to improve secure informaiton flows across Greater Manchester.
It doesn't take away from the need for discussion and consensus to agree data sharing arrangements, but it provides a common digital means of specifying agreements and ensures that privacy and risk assessments are undertaken consistently.
The Greater Manchester information governance groups have reviewed and endorsed this tool. These events are to help practitioners learn about and use it.
