Learning Outcomes

After attendance at this training participants will:-

  • Have an understanding of the legislative and policy framework around information sharing about children and young people at risk of harm.

  • Be aware of the barriers to sharing information within and across agencies and how to enhance their own practice in this area.

Target Audience:

This course is aimed at staff who are within the Specific Contact Workforce Group. See Guidance for Applicants for more information.

It may also be relevant to practitioners, team leaders, managers involved in the provision of services to adults who are parents / carers of children / young people where there may be concerns that the needs of children / young people are not being met. Participants should have an understanding of their agency’s child protection policies and procedures or have previously attended an introductory course on child protection.
