INFORMED CHANGE AND CONSULTANT APPOINTMENT WORKSHOP
The event is a one day workshop aiming to help church groups to ground their plans for change and development by understanding the significance of their buildings and spaces, and by learning how to recruit and work effectively with consultants to aid project development and delivery.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THIS EVENT?
The day will have two key elements. Churches will learn how to develpp an Assessment of Significance (AoS) and an Asset Management Plan (AMP) as key tools for shaping and guiding their proposals. The day will also focus on the effective use of consultants, helping church groups to develop the knowledge and confidence to recruit and appoint consultants. This will include how to make appointments based on a clear and well-structured brief, and understanding the pitfalls of consultant appointments and how these can be avoided. Overall, the event will also help churches to share best practice across the Inspired Futures network.
This event is offered as part of the Inspired Futures Project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Priority will be given to bookings from the 18 project churches, but bookings from other churches will also be welcomed.
Refreshments and sandwich lunch provided.
The event is free of charge, but prior booking essential!
