About this Event

We believe that Inheritance Tax is one of the most punitive taxes affecting families in the UK. If you have made wise financial choices and you would like to hand over your assets to your loved ones, you need to know the tax planning opportunities at your disposal.

Chartered Tax Advisor and Financial Adviser at Cardens Accountants Adam Thompson will be joined by Dean Wilson Associate, Paul Green. Together, they will provide an in-depth instructional guide on how to safeguard your estate for your beneficiaries.

KEY TAKEAWAYS FOR ATTENDEES:

• Practical and actionable steps to alleviate IHT levies

• Sound knowledge of tax planning opportunities

• A better understanding of tax-friendly investments and reliefs

• The importance of later life tax planning

Adam Thompson, Chartered Tax Advisor and Financial Advisor, Cardens Accountants

Adam has more than ten years' experience advising individuals and their families.

Adam trained with a local firm before spending four years working in a tax boutique helping high net worth individuals to reduce their tax liabilities. He went on to head the private client tax team of a leading international tax and financial advisory business for five years before joining Cardens Accountants to spearhead its tax team.

Adam regularly advises on Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, income tax planning, corporate restructurings, employee share schemes and a variety of other corporate and property tax issues. He believes that with the right planning, almost any estate can be passed down to future generations with little or no inheritance tax payable.

Paul Green, Associate, Dean Wilson Solicitors

Paul has extensive Private Client, Tax and Trusts experience, having assisted high net worth individuals in the Private Wealth Department of a City firm, alongside his client work overseas.

Since Paul qualified as a Solicitor in 2009, he has become a STEP-qualified associate in one of Brighton and Hove’s leading solicitors, achieving two diploma distinctions. He also sits on the STEP Sussex Committee as Secretary for the branch.

The event will be held at Hove’s premier business and social club: Hove Club. The elegant, 19th century establishment is a fitting backdrop for what will be an informative and engaging workshop.
