Join us for a unique and creative workshop led by artist Blessy Man, where you'll explore the delicate art of traditional Chinese ink painting while crafting your very own ancient-style map of Glasgow and its enchanting surroundings.

In this one-hour session, participants will be introduced to the history of map-making traditions in Asia and guided through the process of transforming local landmarks, landscapes, and even mythical creatures into expressive ink illustrations. This is a hands-on, imaginative workshop that blends culture, geography, and creativity - perfect for those curious about both art and heritage.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, this workshop provides a relaxed and inspiring space to explore the world of ink, paper, and storytelling.

What You’ll Need to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing that can get a little messy
  • Reference images of Glasgow landmarks or personal favourite spots
  • (Optional) A notebook or sketchbook for rough ideas - We will provide white A4 paper if not
  • (Optional) Your ink, brushes, or specific art supplies you'd like to use - We will provide all if not

Blessy Man, a native of Hong Kong, is a visionary artist and percussionist celebrated for her low-poly mural style that fuses contemporary gaming with traditional figurative art. Her work exudes wit and playfulness, captivating audiences and inviting them to explore her imaginative world.
