What is the InkyJam?
InkyJam is an interactive and fun day of learning on how to bring your business meetings to life with high impact visual information.
Who should attend?
InkyJam is aimed at anyone who leads and facilitates meetings, including supervisors, team leaders, project and functional managers.
By the end of the InkyJam participants will be able to:
- Design visual meetings with confidence and knowledge;
- Explain to their colleagues why working visually in meetings works;
- Create stand-out lettering for maximum impact;
- Produce and develop their own visual vocabulary;
- Spot the opportunities to apply knowledge wihtin their own organisations;
- Know how to get kitted out as a visual thinkier to lead visual meetings.
Why is it called InkyJam?
'Jamming' is commonly used by musicians as a way of "rocking out" different ideas with fellow musicians. The InkyJam is a great place to "rock-out" on the pens with fellow visual thinkers and try techniques in a safe environment.
Is this a course on graphic recording?
No, the InkyJam is designed to support people who facilitate and lead meetings, although there is plenty of graphic practice within the workshop.
What will I receive?
In addition to masses of learning each participant will receive a participant pack. We encourage participants to bring their camera, phone or tablet to take pictures of the wonderful outputs to apply back in the workplace.
Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what previous participants have said about the InkyJam...
‘The Inky thinkers were brilliant, really kind and helpful and they took the time to find out what I do in my role to discuss how visual thinking can be used effectively. A great day.’
‘Thanks for providing a fun, informative course. I got lots of tips which I'm already putting into practice at my team meetings. I've shared an overview with my team and several would like to attend. I hope another course is delivered soon.
‘I can't remember the last time I attended an event where I wasn't clock watching, the day flew by. Thoroughly enjoyed letting my creative side loose.’
‘Having so much time to practically experiment was great and after initial hesitation I quickly felt comfortable to experiment and thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the materials, the Inky Thinkers and the rest of my group.’
We like jamming, we hope you like jamming too!
