Event description

Description

The Innovate & Cultivate Fund aims to redirect Cambridgeshire County Council funding from high cost front-line services towards support and services that are delivered within and by local communities. Our priority areas of service where grant applications are most welcome are Children & Families services and Adult Social Care.

The fund is for voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations, and public sector bodies in Cambridgeshire. Project beneficiaries must be residents of Cambridgeshire (please note that the fund is not open to projects supporting residents of Peterborough).

All projects must:

  • be either new, or build on an existing project in a new location or with new beneficiaries
  • show that they will reduce pressure on council services and/or offer direct savings for the council.

The fund has two grant streams:

  • Cultivate grants of £2,000 - £19,000
  • Innovate grants of £19,001 - £50,000

2020 application deadlines are:

1 May - Cultivate grant applications only

1 August - Cultivate and Innovate grant applications

1 November - Cultivate grant applications only

Who is the advice session for?

This event is for eligible organisations planning to apply for a Cultivate grant on the 1 May 2020 funding round. You can book an appointment for one-to-one advice with a service expert who can help you to develop your project ideas. There will also be optional group workshops on writing a good application and on how to find useful data and information to support your application.

Cultivate Seed Fund Projects

Do you want to do something for your community but need some inspiration to start a project? We’ve compiled some ideas for you of successful schemes that can help people to remain independent and active within their community, encourage volunteering and complement more costly Council services. These include Timebanks, Good Neighbour Schemes, Dementia-Friendly Communities and Men's Sheds. You can find guidance on how to apply for a start-up grant for each of these projects here.

Interested in making your community more dementia friendly?

The Alzheimer's Society is running a workshop for people interested in setting up or enhancing a dementia friendly community. You may also book a one-to-one advice session on this topic. Please register for the workshop and one-to-one advice session on these pages.

Where can I find more information?

Application forms and further information about the Innovate & Cultivate Fund and the fund's service priorities are available on the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation website. We recommend you take a look and come to the advice session with project ideas you plan to develop for your application.
