INNOVATETECH celebrates Scotland’s growing reputation as a tech hub. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are renowned for being tech hubs with Edinburgh being the UK’s largest for tech start-ups and home to Europe’s largest informatics centre at the University of Edinburgh.
Technology innovation touches every part of Scotland and we are delighted to bring the 2nd event in the INNOVATETHENATION series to Inverness. Taking the mic as one of your keynote speakers will be Nikola Serafimovski, Director of Business Strategy at pureLIFI who’s Scottish company commercialises the ground breaking research of Professor Harald Haas, the ‘father-of-LiFi.’ LiFi refers to light based communications technology similar to Wi-Fi, but 100 times faster and far more secure.
Your second innovator will be Dr. Alasdair Mort, CEO MIME Technologies in Inverness. MIME has developed technology which runs on mobile devices that link with next-generation, non-invasive wireless medical sensors, allowing first aiders to deliver the best possible care. A spin out of the University of Aberdeen, MIME have recently been awarded a grant from Scottish Edge which are given out to innovative, up-and-coming firms.
Registration is FREE and includes arrival tea & coffee followed by a drinks reception after the talks to take the conversation further.
