The Hague Institute for the Innovation of Law, in partnership with the Ford Foundation, is delighted to invite you to the Nairobi Innovating Justice Boostcamp. This gathering of intellectuals, innovators and the entrepreneurship industry will take place at the iHub (located on the 4th floor, Bishop Magua Centre, Ngong Road) in Nairobi on 23 September 2016! This event will highlight this year’s semi-finalists for the HiiL Innovating Justice SME Empowerment Innovation Challenge and the Family Justice Challenge.
Selected from hundreds of dynamic and groundbreaking innovations, from across the globe, the 8 start-ups that will pitch at the Nairobi Innovating Justice Boostcamp are a testament to the talent, creativity and potential of East African entrepreneurs. Their innovations will be assessed and evaluated by a jury of pioneers in the fields of entreprenuership and justice. The finalists, who will pitch at the annual Innovating Justice Awards in the Hague, stand to win expert mentorship, acceleration support and funding worth over € 160 000!
The Innovating Justice Boostcamp will have key-note addresses followed by pitches, panel discussions and interactive working sessions that bring together the different worlds of entrepreneurs, investors, civil society, justice professionals and academia. We are proud that the iHub, a pillar of Nairobi's tech ecosystem, is a supporting partner for this event.
The East African semi-finalist justice innovations that will be pitching at the Boostcamp are:
- Baraza (Family Justice Challenge, Kenya)
- Famalia (Family Justice Challenge, Kenya)
