Innovation - a real life water purification case study- and how UK Ecosystem can support your commercialisation efforts

About this event

Innovation Seminar Series

The joint NanoDTC-Impulse-Maxwell Innovation Seminar Series has a series of brilliant speakers who are at different stages in their Innovation and Entrepreneurship journey.

We are delighted to welcome Graeme to our June Innovation Seminar Talk.

"Innovation - a real life water purification case study- and how UK Ecosystem can support your commercialisation efforts."

Dr Graeme Cruickshank, CTIO & General Manager, CPI-Formulation

Hear how Innovation is considered in FMCG corporates, the tricks learned over years of “learning experiences” to help you be more impactful with your innovation and learn more on what support mechanisms exist in the UK to help you develop your own products on your journey to commercialisation.

About the Speaker

Graeme is responsible for supporting the development of the Technology and Innovation (T&I) culture within CPI and ensuring the integration of CPI’s full innovation capability across “Healthtech and Sustainable Materials” development is available as part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.

He originally joined CPI as the Director of the National Formulation Centre in 2015 after 20 years at Procter and Gamble, where he had a range of product design and technology innovation roles across FMCGs (e.g. Fairy Automatic Dishwashing products) and in Corporate R&D developing new product categories e.g. Sleep-care and Water purification. Most recently he led the Global Strategic Alliances with appliance manufacturers to ensure domestic appliances and detergents innovated together to ensure consumers got sustainable ideal end results. In parallel he also led the Global Methods Team bringing more robust and consumer predictive methods for global product evaluation, which is key in accelerating innovation, allowing faster decision making.

About the Company

CPI acts as a catalyst bringing together academia, businesses, government and investors to translate bright ideas and research into the marketplace. They do this by giving their customers access to the right experts, equipment, networks, funding and more – connecting the dots for effective innovation.

CPI is a leading independent technology innovation centre and a founding member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult. They work with partners across diverse markets in the UK and around the world, driving their innovations forward and helping them to reduce the risk and cost associated with product development.
