Overview

HIN invites you to an online IDS session to help shape the new ICB Innovation Adoption Collaborative and 2026 Communities of Practice.

The Health Innovation Network has been commissioned by the Innovation, Research, Life Sciences and Strategy (IRLSS) team and NHS Confed to deliver a programme of work aimed at developing an ICB Innovation Adoption Collaborative. This programme supports the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in fulfilling their statutory duty to promote innovation in the provision of health and care services.

As part of this programme, we recently distributed a survey to gather initial insights. We are now pleased to invite you to join us for an online Innovation Design Service (IDS) session. These sessions will directly inform the development of two Innovation Adoption Communities of Practice, scheduled for early 2026.

Please note: this IDS session is the rescheduled event originally planned for 19th November.

Please register to attend our IDS sessions on one of the two dates below. These events will be hosted online, and further information will be sent out in due course.

IDS Session Dates (Online)

- Wednesday 4th February 10:00 – 12:00

- Wednesday 11th February 13:00 – 15:00

Communities of Practice (Online)

Following the IDS sessions we invite you to participate in one of our Communities of Practice:

- Wednesday 25th February 13:00 – 14:00

- Wednesday 18th March 13:00 – 14:00

Further details, including joining instructions, will be shared after registration.

Innovation Design Service

The HI NENC Innovation Design Service (IDS) supports clinical teams, businesses, and operational teams with the tools they need to rapidly discover innovative ideas and solve ‘Big Problems’.

IDS adopts design thinking methodology, delivered through a facilitated session, or series of sessions bringing together stakeholders to ensure all ideas are presented, considered and agreed on, to create outcomes quickly for the benefits of clinicians, patients, and the wider ecosystem. IDS’s unique position allows it to work with the health and care ecosystem to mobilise ideas and outcomes through its networks.

The IDS is supported by HI NENC’s track record of supporting the acceleration of innovation in the NHS through the Innovation Pathway and wealth of experience in delivering quality improvement projects.
