Innovation Agency: Middle Managers Safety Leadership Programme

The Innovation Agency and AQuA have specifically designed this 5-day programme, to provide middle managers the opportunity to develop technical and non -technical skills, that will help them understand the issues they face daily to monitor, challenge and improve safety within their organisations. The programme has been developed to allow discussion time and to support attendees to acquire knowledge and insight, to develop, practice and implement skills that are fundamental to improving safety within health and care environments . Developing and harnessing these skills will enable staff to deliver more effectively in their role and apply new approaches to increase their influence and impact on safety.
The programme is delivered in 10 modules over the course of 5 full days. The programme will cover:

- Module 3: Safety Culture
- Module 4: Lessons from Outside Healthcare
- Module 5: Psychological Safety
- Module 6: Reliability
- Module 7: Financial Implications for Middle Managers
- Module 8: Leadership and Organisational Development
- Module 9: Using Data to Drive Safety
- Module 10: Service Users are Partners for Safer Care
