Innovation Conference 2017
Wed 24 May 2017, 09:30 – 15:30 BST
Driving innovation for business growth
Business innovation is fundamental to economic prosperity. Businesses that embrace new products, processes and technologies become more productive, challenge existing business models and grow quickly.
The CBI works to help create the conditions that enable businesses to come up with new ideas, invest in research and development, and adopt new technologies. To support this we are delighted to announce our Innovation Conference on 24th May 2017. This one-day conference will comprise keynote and panel plenary sessions, as well as breakout workshops.
The core of the day will be delivered through three pillars of innovation. These are:
Product - the creation of a good or service that is either new or improved
Tech - igniting change and bringing interconnection to the forefront
Talent - stimulating, developing and supporting innovative talent through skills, culture, structures and process.
The conference will also provide you with a chance to influence our policy work in this space. It will also provide you with details on how to access our latest innovation related intelligence.
We are immensely proud that the event will be held at the Renishaw Innovation Centre in Gloucestershire. Companies that have already committed to take part as speakers, panel members or workshop case studies include Google, Screwfix, Airbus, Rotork, Renishaw and the University of Bath.
Booking - Workshops
We will be running simultaneous workshops in the morning and the afternoon sessions. These will be focused on the three pillars of innovation listed above; Product, Tech and Talent and all attendees will have the opportunity to register for 2 workshops, one during each session. When registering to attend the event, please respond to the listed question and specify which two workshop subjects you would like to attend. Please note that, whilst every effort will be made to offer your preferred workshops, we are not able to guarantee your preferred options.
Booking - General
Places are limited and the event is targeted predominately at medium sized companies. Priority will therefore be for companies with a turnover between £10m-£500m, with two complimentary places being available for each company (the second place for professional service organisations will be placed on a reserve list and made available depending on space). Smaller companies demonstrating growth potential are also encouraged to register. Places will be confirmed within two weeks of registering an interest.
Although the event is being offered on a complimentary basis to all attendees, failure to attend, or cancelling less than 30 days before the event will incur a £50 + VAT cancellation fee. Please read our T&C's for information on our booking and cancellation policy.
