'Business Disruption' through 'Design Thinking'

You are invited to join us for the 'Innovation Friday' networking event at the Leicester Innovation Hub, also known as Free Cake Friday (because of the cake). This is a drop in session from 10am-4pm on Friday 25 October. This is an excellent opportunity to network with the Innovation Hub Team, enterprising academics, innovators from local companies, student/graduate start-ups, regional businesses and innovation support organisations in a friendly environment with coffee, cake and samosas.

This month's Innovation Friday will be all about how to disrupt traditional business models using design thinking.

Come along and get your free 'Business Disruption Toolkit' and hear speakers from a wide variety of sectors share their design process. This is a networking session you won't forget. You may be leaving with a recipe for disrupting markets, super scalability, and making your customers very, very happy.

Workshops and activities

On the hour every hour there will be 5 minute presentations on how to use the 'Business Disruption Toolkit' and a range of speakers sharing their design process. You will then get a chance to meet the speakers and apply what you have heard to your business. Please see agenda below:

• 12pm– Creative inspiration from: Nils Feldmann, Feldmann Architects; Dr Alex Moseley, Curriculum Enhancement; Prof. Ross Parry, Museum Studies
• 1 pm– Creative inspiration from: James Kirby, Tanti Design; Dr Rob Thornton, Engineering
• 2 pm – Creative inspiration from: David Martin, Price Waterhouse Coopers; Dr Genovefa Kefalidou, Human Computer Interaction
• 3 pm– Creative inspiration from: Jon Prest, Seed Creative; Dr Will Green, School of Business
