Matchmaking event between innovators, Cancer Alliances and AHSNs in preparation for the NHS Cancer Programme open call
About this event
Are you an innovator with a solution that can improve early detection of cancer? Would you like to apply for funding through the NHS Cancer Programme?
This is a unique opportunity to meet potential new partners that can support you in your journey.
This session will offer innovative organisations the opportunity to meet with key clinical partners from the Cancer Alliances and colleagues from the Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) that will be critical support in the implementation of innovative products in the NHS.
There are limited spaces for this event, so we would prefer for one attendee per organization to apply and we might not be able to accommodate all the requests for participation. You will be notified two weeks before the event with a confirmation of attendance. For this reason, interested innovators are encouraged to complete the registration questionnaire carefully and in full. Applicants will be selected based on how closely their innovations could address priority challenges for Cancer Alliances and AHSNs.
Please submit your expression of interest by completing this questionnaire
Background
NHS England and NHS Improvement announced a new NHS Cancer Programme open call for funding innovations in cancer diagnosis.
This competition invites applications for funding to implement solutions in late-stage development into front-line settings to improve early detection and diagnosis of cancer.
The goal is to ensure a practical translation of leading research and innovation to benefit patients by improving early detection and diagnosis of cancer.
Applications are welcomed for innovative, creative and future proof ideas across medical devices, digital health and equipment, in vitro diagnostics, behaviour intervention, and new models of care. This competition will accelerate future innovation in the healthcare sector, and support the key ambitions in the NHS Long Term Plan for cancer.
The programme is run in partnership with SBRI Healthcare and the NHS Accelerated Access Collaborative.
Cancer Alliances and AHSNs are expected to be key partners of innovators in their proposal. This event will provide an opportunity for innovators to establish connections with Cancer Alliances and AHSNs which could benefit from the proposed innovations to address their priority challenges in cancer diagnostics in their regions.
