Mignon French I Programme Manager │Community Sentence Treatment Requirements

Vince Treece Programme Support Community Sentence Treatment Requirements

Nino Maddalena Criminal Justice Manager Alcohol, Drugs and Tobacco Division Public Health England

Community Sentence Treatment Requirements offer Sentencers three important health treatments covering Drugs, Alcohol and Mental Health (DRR, ATR, MHTR). The CSTR programme aims to reduce reoffending and improve health and social outcomes but their use is currently in decline at the point of sentencing compared to other community requirements.

The Community Sentence Treatment (CSTR) Programme is a partnership between the Department of Health, Ministry of Justice, NHS England and Public Health England. This joint protocol has been developed to explore why these treatment requirements are underused and provide an opportunity to increase the use of CSTRs.

In this free seminar Mignon, Vince and Nino will give an overview of the programme and share some initial thoughts around increasing the use of these treatment requirements.
