A workshop facilitated by the University of Gloucestershire ERDF funded GRIP project (Gloucestershire Research and Innovation Project) focussing on Marketing and Managing Innovation.

Agenda:

10:30-11:00 - Rod Horrocks - Introductions and Process road mapping

In this session Rod will look at the key themes that innovation can fall under including product, process, work organisation and marketing, giving some examples in each category. He will discuss how these can benefit SME’s and how you can define your Innovation road map.

11:00-11:45 - Paul O'Brien - How Actual Reality and Virtual Reality can be succesfully applied in business

In this session Paul will demonstrate how these two technologies are transforming the training and the marketing of products and services.

11:45-12:30 - ~Zoe New - Why SME's need to rethink their operating management systems

In this session Archan will discuss the merits of applying some well known management tools to help you as an SME create a more forward looking reporting system based on ‘leading’ indicators.

12:30-13:00 - Networking lunch

13:00-13:45 - James Dalby - Good practise applications of digital media

In this session James will explore the role of digital media in the delivery of marketing messages and how if this is done poorly it can have a significant detrimental effect.

13:45-2:30 - Innovation Q&A
