Event description

Description

English language testing is increasingly used across a range of contexts, including bilingual programmes, and for study, visa and employment purposes. Trinity College London’s ESOL suite is used to service these demands across the globe, and our tests are renowned for being highly valid assessments, candidate-centred, and designed to develop a wider skills set that’s applicable far beyond the test day.

It is Trinity’s pleasure to invite you to find out more about our approach to testing, as well as information about our exam suites.

Come along and listen to:

  • Jonathan Frank, University Recognition Manager: Teaching, assessing...learning? Joining the dots of international higher education, English language requirements and student outcomes
  • Prof. dr hab Alicja Gałazka, Regional Adviser — Poland: Why communication matters in life and in class — testing for communication
  • Alex Thorp, Lead Academic — Language: Trinity exams, meeting the demands of contemporary testing
  • Barry Lynam, National Consultant Spain & Portugal: Positive washback at all ages and in all sectors: Spain, an example
  • Sinead Laffan, Trinity CertTESOL moderator: Innovative ways to support learner development and achievement
