About this event
Opened by Professor Neal Juster, the University of Lincoln Vice Chancellor, join the University of Lincoln, partners and invited guest speakers at a conference to highlight the work and findings of the recent University led Office for Students funded project “Transitioning students effectively: A student led approach to mental health support.”
The conference is free and lunch and light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Colleagues will provide informative sessions, key findings and learnings at the culmination of the two year project for attendees to consider within their own working practices. Guest sessions will also provide details of innovative mental health support to benefit students and the student community, from Bishop Grosseteste University, Associate Professor in the University of Lincoln School of Psychology - Dr Roger Bretherton, LiNCHigher, the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Lincoln Students' Union Wellbeing Network, and more.
Students are at the heart of the project and will be integral to the conference, sharing their lived experiences and taking part in presentations and sessions, where their input has helped shape the projects overall success.
The conference will be useful to all practitioners in the HE, FE and compulsory education sector, as well as any professionals within the local community whose work supports the mental health and wellbeing of pupils, students and young people.
Education, health and wellbeing professionals from across Lincolnshire and beyond will be in attendance, making the conference an informative networking opportunity, particularly over the buffet lunch provided!
Should you wish to attend the conference, please book your place early, noting any specific dietary or accessibility requirements you may have and the team very much look forward to welcoming you in March 2022, to share a wealth of information and innovative approaches.
