Innovators’ Compass - Ela Ben-Ur

About the event

Ela Ben-Ur has been an innovation practitioner, leader, and coach during and since 13 years at renowned innovation firm IDEO. She has seen that successful innovators, whether in technology or society, must simultaneously navigate many different challenges: technical to human, individual to organizational, in-the-moment to long-term.  Out of necessity she has sought the powerful common wayfinding directions offered by organizational innovation processes like design thinking, agile development, and adaptive leadership; in personal learning and reflection practices; and in our everyday breakthroughs. Experimenting tirelessly with intuitive, flexible, practical ways to apply these led her to create the Innovators’ Compass: a tangible workspace and practice oriented by four fundamental questions. People use this Compass in seconds or over months, alone or in groups, in any medium, for anything they are facing.

Agenda

The first hour will include Ela’s interactive talk, discussion between Ela and Panos Panay, managing director of the Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, and the audience for questions.  A workshop will follow, in which you will:

  • build the Innovator's compass from your own experiences;
  • relate it to other processes;
  • use it to visually, verbally,
  • physically tackle some of your own challenges;
  • and see how others have used it.

You’ll leave ready to apply the fully adaptable Innovators’ Compass in your natural individual and collective creative process going forward—and with resources to go deeper.

Please note that a seperate registration is required for the workshop. Only 30 seats available.
