About this event
Aquarius are an approved provider of the Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) and have been delivering DRIVE (Drinking Responsibility in Vehicle Education) to those convicted of drink driving for many years. The feedback received from those completing the course with us suggest that the course should be compulsory for all drivers and should form part of the driving test. Whilst we can’t make it compulsory, we have produced this short session, called INROADS, to help get the knowledge out there and thus help prevent people drink/drug driving, as there’s more to it that you might think.
The trainer delivering the session has over 13 years’ experience delivering the DDRS for Aquarius and will be bringing this experience and knowledge to the session. She always receives positive feedback and will endeavour to make this an enjoyable, as well as informative, session.
Learning objectives:
- How to calculate units and elimination rates
- Have some understanding of the law and legal processes
- Have a basic knowledge around drug driving
You might also be interested to know that there will be a 3 hour session in December, which, as well as the above information, will also include:
- Understand how alcohol and drugs effect the skills required for safe driving
- Understand risky driving behaviour and how alcohol and drugs can make the situation worse
- Have a knowledge of safe/legal alternatives to drinking and driving
- Be aware of the potential consequences of drinking and driving
What our attendees think:
“I agree that it should be at the learning stages of driving and part of the test.”

“I will never put pressure on friends to drive after one drink.”
