1) The metabolic origin of the anaerobic threshold. It is one of sports most used terms when it comes to endurance performance and the most important benchmark value. However, most people do not understand what it is and why it even exists. The workshop will teach you why the anaerobic threshold exists and how you can adjust it in your athletes.

2) Athlete performance profiling - beyond critical power testing. Critical power testing has become the most important tool for benchmarking cyclist performance in training and competition. However there is more to it then just the pure number. Playing it smart CP testing can give insights into the metabolic profile of an athlete, his muscle fiber spectrum and even what training might be most beneficial for him/her. In this workshop you will learn about the tools you need to get the most out of power testing in cyclists.

3) Glycolytic capacity – the unnoticed game changer in endurance performance. It might the least known parameter for most athletes and coaches. However glycolytic capacity can influence everything that is important to an endurance athlete: fat metabolism, threshold power, recovery, carbohydrate sparing, stamina. It is often the main differentiator between a good and an excellent cyclist and between amateur and professional. Using this parameter in training helped multiple athletes winning world championships – not only in cycling but also in swimming & ironman triathlon. The workshop will teach you how to assess and successfully use glycolytic capacity in your own coaching.

4) Nutrition strategies for endurance performance. Learn how to create evidence based but personalized nutrition strategies for each of your athlete - on the fly. Tuning nutrition to specific training needs has become the latest hack to increase performance without increasing training intensity or duration. Some specific diets may actually improve or hamper adaption to sepcific training stimulus. Learn the most effective combination about workouts & nutrition and take your athletes to the next level.

5) Boost your coaching business – lessons learned from growing Europe’s biggest coaching business. In 2006 the STAPS human performance lab and coaching business was founded. STAPS grew to Europe’s biggest and most successful coaching business, pushing most competitors out of the market. The secret of its success is its tremendous customer retention rate and upsell opportunities: more then 80% of new customers ever walk in the door become subscribes to regular service and become regular customers, drastically reducing the need for new recruitments.
