Step into the unseen world of invertebrates, where every buzz, click, and rustle can tell a story - this interactive workshop blends science, sound, and discovery to uncover the hidden lives of some of our smallest organisms.

Insects are all around us, but how often do we stop to listen? This hands-on workshop invites you to explore the world of invertebrates through sound, movement, and storytelling. From the rhythmic hum of a bee’s wings to the secret vibrations of underground critters, you’ll observe how insects communicate, navigate, and shape ecosystems in ways we rarely notice. Through live recordings, creative experiments, and up-close encounters, we’ll uncover the rich and unexpected ways these tiny creatures interact with the world and why their voices matter now more than ever.

Before you attend the workshop, you will be sent a document with useful information and if you are under 18 you will be sent a parental consent and personal risk assessment form, which we will need you to fill out and return to us in readiness for the session.


The event is suitable for ages 16-25.

Events will take place in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear. Please be advised to take caution when walking on a site with open water and ensure that you always remain on the designated paths. Biting insects can be present at certain times of the year and you may choose to apply insect repellent as a precaution.
