INSET Briefing: Introduction to a Trauma-Informed Approach for Schools

The Rape and Sexual Violence Project (RSVP) specialist training team would like to invite you to attend their online INSET Briefing - Introduction to a Trauma-Informed Approach for Schools.

This two-hour twilight course provides teachers with the opportunity to:

  • Understand what is trauma?
  • Explore ‘Medical Model’ vs. ‘Social Model’ of trauma
  • Examine the physical and emotional impact of trauma
  • Reflect on the basic principles of a ‘trauma-informed’ approach and how it applies to schools
  • Understand ways of supporting survivors in a trauma responsive way

Delegates receive a certificate of attendance, a digital information pack and policy/lesson suggestions.
