About this event

Welcome to this workshop inside the FabLab (We're inside Exeter Library!)

These workshops are for children aged 6 to 15yrs. Children aged 8yrs+ can stay in the workshop without an adult. Children aged 6 or 7yrs will need an adult to stay in the workshop to support their designing. Emergency contact details will be taken during the checkout process. Children should be dropped off to the workshop and collected from the library at the end of the workshop.

1430-1630 Create their own lser engraved & cut hanging door hanger.

Our Digital Making Tutor will guide your child/ren through the design process to create their own door hanger that could be hung on their door handle outside their bedroom (or other location.) This will then be laser-engraved and cut from 3mm plywood. This workshop includes one door hanger.

Making of their Design/s

Depending upon the amount of engraving in their design, it might not be possible to make all of their door hangers in the workshop. If time doesn't allow for them all to be made, we will make them and let you know when they are ready for collection from Exeter Library.

Please note:

Tickets will be on sale until the day before workshop or if tickets have sold out. It will not be possible to turn up on the day without a ticket - tickets are essential.

Covid-19 Information:

Any workshop attendees should not attend the workshop if they are displaying any symptoms of Covid 19 including a cough. If your child is unwell please email us to let us know. If a child is seen to be unwell during the session, we will arrange with you for them to be collected.

Workshop participants will be sat nearby each other so, if you prefer, face masks can be worn in the workshop. This is not currently expected so it's optional.

This workshop will be held on the ground floor of the library so access is good.
