Event description

Description

The World Health Organisation defines health as ‘a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease’.

A healthy NZ society requires an health system spanning multiple environments; going beyond a hospital only approach.

The Allied Health Scientific & Technical Networking Forums are a chance for everyone with a role to play to hear about initiatives around;

  • Service integration

  • Improved patient outcomes

Please join Catherine Epps (Executive Director Allied Health, Scientific & Technical, Capital & Coast DHB) and our speakers for an evening of “Insights into Rehabilitation”.

Topics;

  • Rehabilitation Advisory & Physiotherapy Redesign – Fraser Wilkins, (Portfolio Manager – Primary Care, ACC).

  • TBI Whole Pathways Collaborative: A Collective Impact Approach to Integrated Care – Bren Tod, (CEO Proactive).

  • Rehabilitation & Disability Responsiveness: Patient family perspective – Gillian Miller, (Senior Manager, Strategy Innovation & Performance, Capital & Coast DHB).

  • A phone based, case manager led approach to rehabilitation – Stephanie Slater, (Team Leader Rehabilitation/Occupational Therapist, Veterans’ Affairs).

  • Pharmacist Prescriber in integrated practice – Kerry Muller, (PCNZ Registered Pharmacist Prescriber).

The forum is an opportunity to form networking links for collaborative practice.
