Event description

Description

“Greater data sharing could release an additional £7bn per year of benefits across the UK infrastructure sectors, equivalent to 25% of total spend.” - Office of National Statistics. Developing new statistics of infrastructure: August 2018

This Webinar is the first in our Insights and Innovation Webinar Series: The Role of Digital in a Sustainable Built Environment. Over 3 webinars during March we’ll look at how digital twins of built assets could enable integrated systems and public benefit, how responsive buildings can be more sustainable, how real-time data helps to manage our cities, and the potential of transparent impact-metrics to enable a sustainable built environment supply chain.

#1 Digital Twins and Sustainability – 7th March, 10.00am

Explore the relatively new concept of digital twins – a mirror version of a built asset, examine how it is being applied commercially and how the UK government plans to create a national digital twin platform to use shared data for public good.

Speakers:

  • Mark Enzer, Chief Technical Officer at Mott MacDonald, Chair – The Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) Digital Framework Task Group, lead author of Gemini Principles
  • Karen Alford, Digital Asset Data and Information, Environment Agency

Most interesting for: Estate managers, large building owners, policy stakeholders, developers
