Description

A half-day practical workshop (worth 4 hours of Time-Valued CPD) in which participating teachers will take an in-depth look at a selection of the female variations in the RAD’s vocational graded syllabus. It will cover areas such as the choreographic intention of the content, practical information about the technique, music and performance elements required, and the varying nuances found in each variation.

AIMS

The aims of this half-day workshop are to:

- enhance RAD teachers’ awareness of practical aspects of the vocational graded female variations
- focus on and explain specific examination criteria, and provide teachers with knowledge which will enable them to develop their candidates’ exam performance
- establish ways to identify and develop the varying nuances within the selected female variations
- give RAD teachers an opportunity to engage in discussion regarding all aspects of the female variations

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completion of the workshop, participants will:

- have an increased knowledge of the RAD’s vocational graded female variations
- have gained a greater breadth of knowledge regarding the criteria for the female variations, and be able to apply this knowledge in their teaching
- be able to use the content of the workshop to help evaluate and improve their work as a teacher

The workshop will carry 4 Time-Valued CPD Hours.
