"Every leader is a leader of SEND"... but what if you feel you don't know enough about SEND to really lead on it? This is part of a series of interactive sessions for leaders in mainstream schools who aren't the SENCO, designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the key considerations for pupils with SEND within a specific domain.

This session is specifically for Safeguarding Leaders (mainstream primary/secondary). Pupils with SEND are at increased risk of safeguarding concerns, perhaps because they are not able to recognise risk to themselves or because they are not able to report it; behaviours which might ordinarily alert professionals to a potential safeguarding concern might be dismissed as part of the way in which the child's SEND presents. This session will make sure that Safeguarding Leaders have an understanding of the different types of SEND and how each type brings its own vulnerability and share practical ways of working proactively to keep children with SEND safe.

Come and join us for this free, online session, 10-11am on Thursday 23rd May by booking a free ticket on this page.
