About this event

Following the earlier concert showing those who inspired Bach, from Palestrina to Monteverdi, we skip ahead to the contemporary composers who stood on the shoulders of this giant. Taking two of his most enthusiastic and fun motets as the base line, we look at Tavener's haunting Song for Athene, cross the pond for Lauridsen's O Magnum, dip into Victian warmth with Stanford's Beati, sample interbellum splendour with Harris' Faire is the Heaven, dabble with some lighter moments too, and revel in MacMillan's masterpiece - Miserere.

An unmissable evening of choral greats superbly rendered in Goring's finest (with the usual VQ hospitality all included).

Under 18's are admitted free with an accompanying adult.
