Event description

Description

In this fun, interactive and laid back Inspire coaching breakfast, you will learn the techniques and mind-sets of improvisation in order to:

- Build brilliant listening skills
- Kill the inner critic to help you speak spontaneously off the cuff
- Find your creative confidence to be your best

Max likes to think of improvisation as being like yoga for your soft skills. If yoga makes your body more flexible, then improv makes your thinking and your communication more agile.

Note: This is suitable for complete beginners. This is NOT a performance workshop: no-one will be on-stage in front of an audience. You don't need to be able to act, or to know any jokes. In this warm and positive workshop, everything will be brought to life in a simple pair and small group exercises and then tied acutely into day-to-day relevance.

More on Max

Max Dickins is an improviser, author and critically acclaimed playwright. His sell-out smash hit show 'The Man on the Moor' will tour the UK in spring 2018.

In his 'other life' Max is founder of Hoopla Business: The corporate arm of Hoopla, the UK’s biggest improv school. Since 2012 we’ve been teaching improv and applying it to workplace challenges. They’ve worked with big name firms across a huge variety of industries, all over the world, from Paris to Barcelona to Sydney. Everything from big advertising agencies like JWT or AMV/BBDO, top-level tech firms like Facebook and Apple, national media brands like the BBC and NBC Universal, through to big finance and management consultancy firms like Goldman Sachs and Accenture.

Hoopla also work with London Business School as part of their MBA program. Their work has been profiled across the national media. The Financial Times describing it as ‘transformative’, The Daily Telegraph calling it ‘inspiring’, and the Evening Standard calling it ‘elating’ and ‘widely applicable across the workplace.’
